Centro Hispano and Berks Women in Crisis have collaborated to create a culturally and linguistically specific public awareness campaign about Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence and Stalking directed to the Latina/o community. Our efforts have concentrated on brining a positive message to our community about healthy relationships. Domestic violence and dating violence are very sensitive issues in our society and in order to effectively modify violent behavior in our community, we need to address these issues with our youth. In order to do this, prevention education strategies must be employed to advise our young community of the dynamics of violence as these youth transition into adulthood. This public awareness campaign will be designed with the intentions of empowering youth to become the designers of the campaign.
